Lady Carmagnolle
was a lonely soul
who drew faces on rocks
and things

She murmured soothing words
pretending they were birds
who had somehow lost
their wings

When the acid rain
would wash away the stain
of the faces upon
her rocks

She would look to the sky
happy tears in her eyes
dreaming they had found a place
in a flock
